Comedy at the Alverbank in Gosport is putting on a Comic Relief special with a percentage of ticket sales donated to Red Nose Day

Wednesday 13 March: The Alverbank Hotel’s monthly comedy club will be joined by Paul Sinha, aka the ‘Sinnerman’ from ITV’s The Chase, for a special one-off night of laughter to raise life-changing money for Red Nose Day on Friday 15 March.
Jake Young, 25, organiser and MC, has been running the monthly comedy night at the Alverbank Hotel in Gosport for six years, and this will be the first event in honour of Red Nose Day, with this year’s Do Something Funny for Money theme being the perfect fit for comedians.
The comedy night is always a sold-out affair, and this Comic Relief special is no different.
Speaking of the excitement ahead of his first Red Nose Day fundraiser, Jake said: “As a comedy night, Comic Relief is such a good fit for us. We will hopefully raise a laugh and a lot of money for a fantastic cause.
“I’ve always loved Comic Relief, especially the comedy sketches and specials of beloved TV shows. Red Nose Day really is a day of national unity, when everyone comes together to raise money. It’s a day when we are not individuals - it brings people together across the country and seeing everyone get involved in whatever way they can is always heartwarming. This year we’re looking forward to playing a part in that."
Comedy at the Alverbank’s Comic Relief special will take place on Friday 15 March. £10 from every ticket sold will be donated to Comic Relief, and there will also be a host of other opportunities to donate with a raffle, games, charity buckets and other surprises during the night.
