Wednesday 5 March: Comic Relief is bringing the ultimate party experience to your ears next week with the launch of its brand-new podcast, IT’S MY PARTY, hosted by award-winning comedian Catherine Bohart. In association with Amazon Music, this nosey new podcast, launching on Wednesday 12 March, is designed to make listeners feel good all year long while helping to support Comic Relief’s life-changing projects across the UK and the world.

With Comic Relief celebrating its 40th birthday this year and Red Nose Day happening in just two weeks, we’re ready to kick off the celebrations with IT’S MY PARTY - a 12-episode series dropping weekly where celebrities plan their perfect birthday parties, sharing everything from their dream guest lists to their party playlists, dress codes, themes, and even snack choices. Guests on the show include Nish Kumar, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Lenny Henry, Gabrielle and Jameela Jamil - with the first episode featuring the iconic duo from the ‘Help I Sexted My Boss’ podcast, Jordan North and William Hanson.

Ever wondered what food Nish Kumar would serve at his knees-up, or who Gabrielle would be getting in to DJ? Well, wonder no more! From choosing whether to throw a white-tie gala or a tie-dye rave, to deciding if the soundtrack should be Daft Punk or Debussy, each episode of IT’S MY PARTY invites listeners into a world of imagination and celebration. Will there be a conga line or a magician? Chips and dips or fine wine and cake? It’s all about indulging in the ultimate party spirit, with no detail too small to discuss.

Hosted by the hilarious Catherine Bohart, the podcast which will be dropping episodes weekly on Wednesdays, is crafted to be a joyful, light-hearted 45-minute escape, perfect for anyone needing a pick-me-up or simply looking to have some fun. But that’s not all, amounts received by Comic Relief via advertising revenues could help support families affected by conflict here in the UK and around the world. It’s a win-win: laughter, fun, and helping to do good, all rolled into one. This means that the more people tune in, the more lives can be changed for the better.

Discussing the podcast, host Catherine Bohart said: “I’m so excited for everyone to hear this podcast. I love our guests, I love parties, I love talking parties – the strategy, the planning, the rules, the themes – I love it all! Comic Relief was such a significant part of my childhood, I have such clear memories of those nights of television giving me a new perspective on such important things but also being so full of joy at the same time, so to be part of it all this year is meaningful and it feels really special. It also means that I can be really nosey with celebs in the name of Comic Relief, so, that’s nice!”

Samir Patel, CEO of Comic Relief, said: “As we celebrate Comic Relief’s 40th birthday, we’re so excited to launch IT’S MY PARTY in partnership with our friends at Amazon Music. This fun new podcast gives listeners a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at the ultimate celebrity party plans, all while helping raise money for the incredible projects that change lives. We’re proud to carry on bringing people together through laughter and celebration, and we hope this series makes everyone feel good while supporting our mission to make a real difference.”

IT’S MY PARTY is produced by Audio Always and will be available on Amazon Music and wherever you choose to listen, with the first episode featuring Jordan North and William Hanson dropping on Wednesday the 12th March - promising a blend of humour, candid conversation, and a celebration of everything that makes parties great. Tune in, be nosey, and know that your enjoyment is making a difference. Follow here to be the first to listen next week.

NOTES TO EDITORS

About Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day is back on Friday 21 March 2025.

From hip shakers, cake bakers and joke makers to Red Nose wearers, t-shirt buyers and sofa-sitting givers, it’s that time of year to come together to support people in the UK and across the world who are facing the toughest times of their lives.

This Red Nose Day, there’s lots to be excited about as we begin to celebrate Comic Relief hitting the big 4-0 in 2025. With your help over the past 40 years, we’ve raised over £1.6 billion, supported over 100 million people, and had a great time doing it. So, this March, let’s all go big to help put food on plates, roofs over heads, keep little ones safe, and support families affected by conflict. Because when we all do a little something funny for money, giving gets bigger and bigger.

There are lots of ways to take part in Red Nose Day. Visit www.comicrelief.com/rednoseday(opens in new window) or follow @comicrelief on social media to find out more.

Red Nose Day is an initiative of Comic Relief.
