Comedians Sarah Millican, Jo Brand, Susan Calman and more are joining forces to take part in a special comedy gig for Comic Relief.
The “Stand-up for Comic Relief” show will be a night of top entertainment and takes place at the Lyric Theatre, London, on Monday, 11 May.
Other guests on the bill include Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe, Holly Walsh, Jessica Fostekew, Jo Caulfield and Zoe Lyons.
Sarah Millican said on Twitter that the show would be awesome and that she was, “thrilled to be on a bill with such amazing comics. And all for a good cause.”
Susan Calman, who also regularly appears on BBC Radio 4, said how “amazing” the gig would be and championed her fellow guests.
The event will be hosted by Standard Issue, a new online women’s magazine which says it is aimed at women of all ages but with content which appeals to men too.
All profits from the event will go towards helping people living incredibly tough lives in the UK and across Africa.
Comic Relief funds projects which help vulnerable and disadvantaged women in a number of ways. That includes through help to tackle violence against women, raising awareness and educating communities about the harm caused by Female Genital Mutilation and ensuring that the number of women dying in childbirth across Africa continues to fall.
If you would like to attend there are still tickets which can be purchased online and at the box office.
