To mark the official launch of this year's Red Nose Day campaign, stunning supermodel Lara Stone has been photographed recreating Marilyn Monroe’s iconic pose from the 1950’s movie classic, ‘The Seven Year Itch’ – only with a vital extra. Adding a touch of Red Nose Day magic were this year’s brand new Red Noses, available to buy from Sainsbury’s and Oxfam as of today.
Kicking off the huge fundraising campaign, which is all set to take the entire nation by storm as men, woman and kids across the land prepare to do something funny for money(opens in new window) on Friday 18th March, the fashionista said, “I had so much fun being Marilyn Monroe for the day and recreating the iconic shot with a Red Nose twist. It was an honour to be asked to take part.”
The Dutch beauty is being joined by a whole host of famous names to get this year’s campaign off to a star-studded start - including her husband, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, John Cleese, Amanda Holden, David Tennant and Alexandra Burke.
All the Red Nose Day cash raised by the public goes to transform the lives of poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa and the campaign culminates in a massive night of hilarious, entertaining and moving TV on the BBC on Red Nose Day itself.
To show their support, the nation is being urged to pick their Nose at Sainsbury’s or Oxfam as there are three new monster character Noses to choose from.
