Brit Award sensation James Bay is exclusively releasing the official Sport Relief 2016 single.
James Bay’s track ‘Running’ has been recorded exclusively live at Abbey Road studios, especially for this year’s Sport Relief campaign.
Fans can now officially download the single from iTunes and watch the video on Vevo from 10am on Friday, 11th March.
Viewers who tune into BBC One on Friday, 18th March will also be able to watch a special pre-recorded performance of the track.
“I was very proud to be asked by Comic Relief to release the official Sport Relief single and it was such a great experience to record this special version live from Abbey Road Studios,” James said.
“This song is one that is very close to my heart and it feels like the perfect fit to release it with Sport Relief.”
The original version of the song was produced and written by James, who this year won a Brit Award for British Male Solo artist.
In the run up to the Sport Relief single release, James was given the opportunity to see where money raised goes.
“I am very proud to be working with the charity to help raise money for people living incredibly tough lives,” he added.
