Legendary comedian Eddie Izzard has just completed one of the most incredible challenges in Sport Relief's history.
On Tuesday 15th September, Eddie arrived in Trafalgar Square, marking the end of his 43rd marathon in only 51 days - all in aid of Sport Relief.
He’d run at least 27 miles a day, 6 days a week for 7 weeks straight, covering more than 1,110 miles across the UK – an absolutely mind-blowing distance.
You’ll be able to see the whole incredible feat for yourself in the documentary "Eddie IZ Running", which will be shown on BBC Three as part of Sport Relief 2010.
Eddie set off at 6.30am from Trafalgar Square on July 27th and headed off though all four nations of the UK in support of Sport Relief.
As he ran, Eddie carried the flag of each country he ran through. His mad adventure saw blisters popping and toenails falling off, he took ice baths each evening and was determined to run, walk or crawl his way back to London.
Along the way Eddie dropped-in on some of the projects and people that benefit from Sport Relief, took a detour to the top of Arthur's Seat, had Denise Van Outen, Frank Skinner, Steve Cram and Allison Curbishley running beside him and even managed an impromptu gig in Keswick!
He may be home and dry (and aching!) but it's not too late to show your support for his utterly incredible, gargantuan effort.
