No stranger to Comic Relief challenges, comedian David Walliams is about to take on a completely new kind of endurance feat to raise cash for Comic Relief this weekend.
Having swum the English Channel and cycled across the entire length of the UK with a bunch of his mates, the funny man now plans to sacrifice a whole night’s sleep as he anchors Comic Relief’s 24 Hour Panel People – the UK’s first-ever live, online streamed 24 hour panel show – this weekend.
So, from Channel to panel – David will see the entire show through from start to finish and joining him will be a whole host of stars including David Tennant, Jack Dee, Stephen Fry, Miranda Hart, Claudia Winkleman, Jason Manford, David Mitchell, Dara O’Briain, Paul O’Grady, Sue Perkins, Jo Brand, Jimmy Carr, Lee Mack, Richard Bacon, Vernon Kay, Sir David Frost, Barbara Windsor, Russell Tovey, Charlie Brooker, Christopher Biggins, Ulrika Jonsson, Patricia Hodge, Jedward plus many more.
The celebrity contestants will play numerous different formats of famous panel shows across 24 hours in this comedy event of epic proportions and David will switch between the roles of team captain, panellist and host across the whole day.
As well as an abundance of funny people, the historic event will be bringing back some much loved, all time classics shows, including The Generation Game, Blankety Blank, Through The Keyhole, They Think It’s All Over, Room 101, Call My Bluff, Give Us A Clue and Whose Line Is It Anyway.
