As the countdown to this year’s Sport Relief campaign begins in earnest today, Jimmy Carr has been treated to the Fearne Cotton treatment in preparation for the big Sport Relief Weekend which kicks off on Friday 23rd March. The money raised during the Sport Relief campaign will be spent by Comic Relief to transform lives – both here in the UK and across some of the world’s poorest countries.
The comedian experienced a ‘Fearne’ hand as Sergeant Cotton put him through his paces to draw attention to the national fundraising extravaganza that’s set to be bigger than ever during the UK’s most memorable year of sport.
Fearne Cotton revealed, “I’m a huge fan of Sport Relief and thoroughly enjoyed whipping Jimmy Carr into shape for this year's campaign! Especially having spent five days of the last Sport Relief in a team cycling non-stop from John O’Groats to Lands End and Jimmy just popped along for one day. Sweet revenge! ”
You’ll be relieved to know that you don’t have to go through boot camp to be part of the action. You can simply walk, skip, jog or run 1, 3 or 6 miles at the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile at literally hundreds of events across the entire UK on Sunday 25th March.
